VET Applied Language

Ripponlea Institute works with schools to deliver both the Certificate II and III in Applied Languages in a range of languages.

The Certificates aim to provide participants with the language skills and cultural knowledge to enable them to communicate in social and workplace situations in a language other than English.

 

Students develop the intercultural sensitivity and capacity to function in workplace environments where there is a range of cultural and languages background present, They develop the basic linguistic competency required to understand and use an additional language in these workplaces.

This course is designed to provide individuals with language skills and intercultural knowledge to enable them to communicate routine information in social and workplace situations in a language other than English, both in Australia and overseas. The course can be applied to any language.

CALOCS301 Conduct routine oral communication for social purposes in a language other than English 

CALOCW302 Conduct routine workplace oral communication in a language other than English               
CALRWS303 Read and write routine documents for social purposes in a language other than English     
CALRWW304 Read and write routine workplace documents in a language other than English
